Wooden Floating Frame
For paintings on canvas
My large canvases can be hung framed or unframed. If you would like a framed painting, consider a modern floating frame, as this allows the painting some space, whilst creating a comfortable distinction between painting and wall
The width of a floating frame when viewed head-on is typically 15mm. The shadow-gap between the painting and frame is typically 15mm but this can vary as the framer makes the frame to suit an individual painting
Your painting will arrive ready to hang. The hanging fixtures – screwed eyes and cord will have been fitted to the frame and wall hook(s) provided in the packaging, all ready for you to hang.
I suggest that you hang paintings over 600mm wide on two wall hooks (included), to ensure the painting can hang well and not swing as it might on a single fixing
St Ives Wooden Frame
For paintings on board
My smaller paintings are set in a St Ives style frame, typically 45mm wide. The St Ives frame is white painted wood that can add a contemporary feel to your decor
The 'St Ives' term originates from the 1950's where, in St Ives, Cornwall many local artists framed their artwork in this style
Your painting will arrive ready to hang. The hanging fixtures – screwed eyes and cord will have been fitted to the frame and wall hook(s) provided in the packaging, all ready for you to hang.
I suggest that you hang paintings over 600mm wide on two wall hooks (also included), to ensure the painting can hang well and not swing as it might on a single fixing
Framed with glass
For works on paper
Paintings on paper need additional protection so I supply them framed under glass with a white PH neutral mount, set in a simple white fibreboard and paper foil frame
Ready to hang: Framing includes a board backing and a saw tooth hanger fitted to the frame, ready for you to hang. These smaller paintings can be hung from a single wall picture hook (included)
